How BIGFLO Takes Over Korea and Japan

How BIGFLO Takes Over Korea and Japan

Did you know that k-pop is the 7th most popular genre in the world? That’s right, the International Federation of Phonography Industry states that K-pop is ranked 7th in the music genre in the world. This has become an open secret for everyone. This music genre has become one of the genres of music that can be enjoyed by many people globally. This is also because there have been many new boy or girl groups from South Korea from year to year.

BIGFLO a boy group from South Korea, is one of those popular boy groups. The group, which initially had 9 members, was formed by HO Company. HO Company has also been known to have launched many famous musicians in South Korea. When it was first formed on June 19 2014, BIGFLO’s permanent members were Jungkyun, HighTop, Ron, Yuseong and Jiwook (Z-UK). Then, on the first of year, namely June 18 2015, they decided to add one new member. It was Kichun who became the new member. Kichun’s skills are singing, dancing and acting. He is good at all of those things. Apart from that, he is also very fluent in Japanese, Korean and Chinese. But unfortunately, Kichun’s presence in BIGFLO didn’t last long. Because, on December 13, 2016, one year after he officially became a member of BIGFLO, he and Z-UK decided to leave the group.

Kichun announced his retirement and left a message to always support BIGFLO whatever their next project is. The same was done by Z-UK. He uploaded a photo apologizing for the decision he had to make. He also explained why he decided to leave the boy group that had raised his name. It didn’t take long for BIGFLO to get new members again, in February 2017, right when they were promoting their mini album “Stardom”, three new members namely Lex, Sungmin, and Eunjin officially joined BIGFLO.

BIGFLO made their first debut on June 23, 2014, exactly 4 days after they officially formed. ‘First Flow’ EP which contained 3 songs was released. The three songs include ‘Delilah’, ‘Its You Again’, and ‘Fly’. The songs in ‘First Flow’ were selected songs that reflect the character, individuality, and characteristics of each BIGFLO member. They were all involved in the making process which took three months. Jungkyun, the group leader, and HighTop took part in writing the lyrics and did the song arrangement.

The success of this debut album made BIGFLO re-release the song ‘Delilah’ ‘daftar sbobet‘, but in the Japanese version. This is also done because on April 15 2015, they signed a contract with a Japanese entertainment company, KISS Entertainment. This company has also collaborated a lot with other Korean groups such as Girl’s Day and BtoB. This collaboration was followed by BIGFLO’s solo concert in Japan on April 18 and 26.
